One of the most infuriating things about moving from good ‘ole html to wordpress is that you have to decide. Do you keep your same colors? Do you modify your logo? What about pages? Since they are unlimited in wordpress, where and what would you do with them? What would you say on them? How will you organize them?
What about plugins? Which ones? Where will you put them and how will you use them? Will you monetize your WP website? What will google think? What about media you will use? Sounds like you would need a good “Should I switch to wordpress?” checklist. If you don’t have one contact us at 301-693-5029 or press the Booknow button below to schedule an appointment so we can sit down together and we will walk you through what things you need to think about. There should be a workshop you can attend coming up soon, so stay tuned!

So; thinking about converting your current website into a wordpress one, eh?. Read on. The top things we have observed so far are:
1) It’s always easier than it sounds.
2) It’ll take longer than you think.
3) Write down everything you do. Any change, any tweak, any addition, anything!
4) Never loose sight of what you are trying to achieve. It’s so easy to get distracted with all of the plugins available for wordpress.
5) Never be afraid to try something as long as you have a backup.
6) Study the dashboard. Know the dashboard. Be the dashboard.
7) When all else failts, give us a call at 301-693-5029 to see if we can help.
